A Brief History of Cotswold Wildlife Park

From Victorian manor to wildlife haven

🏠

Victorian Estate

The beautiful Bradwell Grove manor house and estate have stood since the early 1800s, providing the perfect setting for the park.

🦒

Opened in 1970

John Heyworth opened the park in 1970 on his family home to share his love of wildlife and breathe new life into the estate.

🌳

Conservation Focus

Today it supports breeding programmes for endangered species while remaining a relaxed, family-run attraction in the Cotswolds.

Did You Know? The rhinos often graze right in front of the manor house, separated only by a ha-ha ditch - a view you will not forget.
